We recently completed refurbishment of all 22 windows on this category B Listed Building. As you’ll appreciate because of its prominent corner position and considerable character, preservation of the existing windows was very important.
As well as removing and replacing all rotten timbers, (including curved external sills and sash bottom rails as shown), we also fitted our draught sealing system, replaced failed glazed units and completed external putty and painting works, restoring the windows to their former glory.
Being on the corner of a very busy junction in the City Centre there was also a concern regarding traffic noise levels within the Centre. Especially when creating a peaceful meditation room. To address this, we fitted internal secondary glazing frames with acoustic glazing and the resulting improvement was exactly what was needed.
